What is up with this onesie?
Thu 24 Sep 2009
This onsie ‘ready to roll’ is extremely cute but for some reason everytime Henry wears it he does the biggest poop! I have soaked it several times but unfortunately the back is stained. The last ‘poop’ incident was at the chiropractor on Friday. Just before his appointment he did the world’s biggest poop – I used up all the wipes and had to use toilet paper too. Not that you can tell any of this from the photo – he just looks gorgeous!
Some further updates on Henry:
- still not sleeping great. He wakes up randomly one or two times a night. Day naps are getting better with some good 2 hour ones.
- doesn’t like loud noises. Background noise is okay but not sudden noises (not good with Miss L around)
- is called ‘Benry’
- doesn’t cry much except when he’s hungry
- wearing some 3 month and some 6 month sized clothing and size 2 nappies
- is still very very happy
Miracle

The night of 09/09/09 is a special one! Henry slept through the night from 11pm until 6:30am. Having given no indication of this (the most he has slept is 4 hours) it was amazing that he slept for 7.5 hours last night. I have been comparing Lucy and Henry as babies, coming up with many differences. Now we have a similarity – sleeping through at 9 weeks. He may not sleep through again tonight but I am happy and content that he can do it and look forward to both babes sleeping happily at night. I also look forward to putting my bed time back to 10pm instead of 8pm!
We praise God for this miracle and close this post with Lucy’s memory work for this week.
Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him all creatures here below
Praise him above, ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Amen, Amen, Amen

I wasn’t sure we were going to make it this far but here we are. The last month has not been fun as he hasn’t fallen into a good sleeping pattern. For two weeks we thought he had wind problems. We have done everything to help this. That being fixed but still not sleeping great we spent the next two weeks we thinking he was hungry. So I fed him a lot, offered formula (which was rejected) and again fed him a lot. Now we have his stats in and we are trying a new approach!
Vital statistics:
Height 25.5 inches (64.8 cm); off the chart
Weight 15 pounds 15.5 ounces (7.2 kg); off the chart
Head 42 cm; off the chart
At least being off the chart in all areas means that he is in proportion! And now I know why some clothes aren’t fitting anymore – he is the size of a small six month old!The nurses were amazed at how big he is. He didn’t cry for his first two needles but with the third he let out an ear piercing squeal and scratched his face.
Having said all that he is a very smily, happy baby. He even laughs. He has rolled over 4 times now so I know the first time wasn’t a fluke. He can hold his head up extremely well. He loves his big sister and smiles when he hears her voice but isn’t so sure about all the kissing and cuddling she does (she can be smothering!) He loves his bath (another water baby) and like his sister he smiles at the star on his activity mat. His hair is still dark (yay!) and his eyes are still blue. His legs are hairy. He does one really big poop a day.
In short he is very gorgeous. Everyone loves him!
